Attitudes of Samara province nobility during the period of preparation of the emancipation reform of 1861

The author presents a new point of view on the participation of Russian nobility in the preparation of the abolition of serfdom. The research is based on the materials of Samara province. The article describes the peculiarities of interaction between the government and Samara nobility in the time of the preparation of the emancipation reform.
