Komsomol members and pioneers of the Ulyanovsk region helping the Red army during the Great Patriotic War

The article considers basic directions of Ulyanovsk region youth participation in the nationwide movement helping the battlefront. Particular attention is paid to financial assistance to the battlefront by making contributions to Motherland defense fund, participation in voluntary unpaid work on Sundays, donations to voluntary funds for the construction of military equipment, participation in socialist competitions, assistance in the harvest and fodder. It is shown that one of the most important ways to achieve the Soviet victory in the Great Patriotic War was the selfless assistance of people patriotic battlefront, embodying every possible community care for strengthening the combat power of the armed forces. The article emphasizes the special role of the youth in this movement, clearly indicating its exceptional devotion to the Motherland.
