Prospects for attracting investments in the Russian fuel and energy complex from the BRICS countries

The article examines the importance of the fuel and energy complex for Russia and other foreign countries, and systematizes its tasks and functions for national economies. Dynamics of the FEC's performance were analyzed, and Russia's investment potential in this area was investigated. Ways to improve the mechanism for attracting investment from foreign countries into the FEC are outlined. Particular attention is paid to the international engagement of the BRICS countries on this issue. Statistical data are presented that demonstrate the successful cooperation of the BRICS countries. The topic of Russia's interaction with China, which is Russia's strategic partner in the field of fuel energy, is also touched upon. In conclusion, recommendations are given that, from the author's point of view, could contribute to improving the process of investment and energy cooperation between the BRICS countries.
