Translation of the paper “The faces of our fellow human beings” by professor archpriest Dumitru Staniloae

In his paper, Father Dumitru Stăniloae addresses key ontological questions: what is true life, love, knowledge? He speaks of the need to go beyond the limits of the created world and life according to the flesh in order to attain true freedom and to progress spiritually, in order to partake of eternal life. Father Dumitru Stăniloae defines true life as knowledge of God through the experience of love, and refers to the service and sacrifice offered to God in the persons of our fellow human beings as the only way to find it.
