Landscape as a means of disclosing the theme of loneliness in a literary work

The article deals with landscape as an important element of A. Chekhov’s psychologism and as a way of disclosing the theme of loneliness in his stories. Using the stories «Summer Folk (Dachniki)», «Bishop (Arkhierei)» and «Steppe (Step)» the author of the article reveals the particular features of landscape, that contribute to the disclosure of the themes of loneliness and reasons of heroes’ alienation.
