The author analyzes the objects of the archaeological heritage found on the territory of the Taman settlement and included in the collection of the Taman Museum Complex. Archaeological sources are one of the main instruments of reconstruction of the centuries-old history of Taman. Taman Museum Complex has a large collection of these sources that reflect the stages of the history of the penetration of Christianity in the region, formation of the first dioceses in Taman, the building of temples, the veneration of the holy martyrs, the pilgrimage to the Holy Land. The most important are examples of the early Byzantine church architecture, reliefs and inscriptions carved on limestone slabs. The unique collection of Byzantine molivdovuls, among which are important drooping seal of Anthony, Archbishop of Zihii, found at the Taman settlement. The excavations of recent years have been discovered and studied the burials in stone boxes relating approximately to the 11th century AD. The objects allowing to reconstruct the life of the peasants who lived on the Taman Peninsula in the Middle Ages were also found.
