Sectoral aspect of innovation activity of the regions of Southern federal district

The author characterizes the innovation and technological development trends in the regions of Southern Federal District which makes it possible to ground the opportunities for the development of critical technologies generating dynamic demand for innovation. The author further defines the prior conditions for creation of regional scientific-technical and innovation clusters required to fulfill the innovation potential of Southern Federal District.
