By the nameless questionnaire survey 469 the female sex nurses which work in the psychiatric hospitals: 190 – in Belgorod Region (Russia), 187 – in Nikolayev Region (Ukraine) and 92 – which work in somatic hospitals and study at the faculty of higher education in nursing. A large social distance between respondents and suiciders was found. Also was discovered that positive emotional attitude to suiciders depends of familiarity’s degree (it is better to colleague and neighbor than to stranger). The loyal relation peculiar to nurses which work in the psychiatric hospitals more than nurses which work in somatic hospitals and study at the faculty of higher education in nursing and don’t have experience with suiciders. The high level of stigmatization was found in intimate, production, political public and moral spheres. There are no trans-regional differences. The problems of destigmatization and prevention of suicidal behavior are discussed.
