The research is aimed at the defi ning of the eff ectiveness of psychomotor and physical development in young gymnasts under the infl uence of developing psychological studies. Peculiarities of the infl uence of psychomotor development on the indices of young gymnasts physical preparedness have been revealed. The research showed the necessity of working out and introduction of the programme in the development of psychomotor abilities in sportsmen of the initial preparedness stage.
