This article describes the changes in the taxonomic structure of phytoplankton man-made reservoir during extinction. The object of the study was oz. Shlamonakopitelej (system Vasilevsky lakes, Togliatti, Samara region). In the course of the study, a detailed floral and ecological-geographical analysis of the phytoplankton of the studied reservoir was carried out during the period of active exploitation (1991-1992) and after the removal of technogenic load (2001), when the reservoir began to transform into ephemeroid. Also analysis was made of the degree of generality of the algal flora in each study period. The level of continuity for the most taxonomically significant departments of algae is determined.
