In this article the authors formulated and analyzed the features of the national innovation system of Israel. Israel occupies a stable position in twenty countries in the world with a high level of innovative economic development. Current problems of Israel in the field of innovative development were considered. The main directions of state innovation policy were named. The role of the state in shaping innovation economy was defined.
