Results of researches of a microstructure and microhardness of surface layer of ring ledges from a powder pseudo-alloy steel-copper after carrying out laser heat treatment by the 1 kW fiber laser are given. The maximum microhardness to 1000 HV in volume of the martensite which is forming in perlitny colonies of an initial material steel-copper is reached. The geometry of samples has impact on results along with parameters of laser processing.
