Peculiarities of the court’s qualification of acts related to abuse and excess of official powers in government bodies

This paper analyses various aspects of the qualification of offences under Articles 285 and 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Particular attention is paid to the differentiation of the corpus delicti from each other; the errors encountered in the qualification by law enforcers of the crimes, the corpus delicti of which form the abuse of official powers and abuse of official powers, are considered.
