Peculiarities of the combined operation of folding. Results of computer simulation

The paper discusses peculiarities of the combined technology of assembling of panels; this technology is performed by the action on the deformed flange by static and dynamic loads in a single working stroke of the press, that is, without stopping of the deforming tool. The results of computer simulation of the proposed process are presented where a stressed-deformed state (s.d.s.) of the flange material in characteristic points was determined first. The pattern of the s.d.s. depending on time, a form and intensity of the load, geometrical sizes and type of a workpiece material was obtained, that made it possible to reveal peculiarities and the mechanism of static-dynamic deforming, to formulate scientifically proved recommendations on designing of a combined technology of folding ensuring the joint required quality.
