Decomposition methods in optimal design of cylindrical shells

The article discusses the algorithm design of the cylindrical shell of the minimum weight when asymmetrical loading. Optimization problems certainly are of particular interest for structures with many geometric parameters and the geometric and physical constraints. In this problem, the optimal design is sought in the class of structurally - orthotropic shells. Multiparameter algorithm of optimal design involves the use of an effective decomposition method, reduces the problem of large dimension to solving a series of simple tasks. The problem of finding the minimum weight of the cylindrical shell is a nonlinear programming problem and are of great interest for practical applications in the design of thin-walled shell structures.
