The ontological status of the general cultural competences in the context of internationalization of professional education

In the article the authors analyzed the definition of the term culture given by representatives of the different philosophical schools and tendencies. They also analyzed the essence of the competence approach in the conditions of the internationalization of the modern vocational training. The authors study the dialectical development of the ontological status of general cultural competences and its role in the humanization of education of university students of higher educational institutions of physical education.
