Odontological characteristics of the forest- steppe Altai Andronovo population based on the materials from the Rublyovo VIII burial ground

The article presents the results of the odontological study of the Fedorovo series from the Rublevo VIII burial ground. The series was examined using the standard odontological procedure developed by A.A. Zubov, and the procedure of registering the archaic markers. Despite the fact that the population in question belonged to the western odontological trunk, a component close to the southern gracile odontological type can be observed in the male series. Most of the “eastern” features were absent from the female series. The results of the intergroup analysis have demonstrated the isolation of the Andronovo populations from the local population, as well as some similarity between the composition of the Andronovo population and the carriers of the Alakul culture.
