Evaluation of the functioning of the production unit of the economic system

In the article it''s considered the approach to the evaluation of the functioning of the structural subdivision of the production and economic system from the point of view of determining the hidden factors of influence on its activities. For the formation of a quantitative approach to the analysis of the processes of integration of companies, multidimensional factor analysis is proposed. It''s described the method of obtaining the maximum likelihood estimates of the factor values, based on maximizing the Lagrange matrix likelihood function, taking into account natural constraints. The likelihood function is an additive expression that includes the logarithm of the joint distribution density, the sum of the squared deviations of the observed variables from their theoretical values, and the orthogonality condition for the quantity of the factors. An iterative procedure for obtaining the maximum likelihood estimates of the values of factors is created, during which the values of factor loads satisfying the orthogonality conditions of the factors are also determined. With the help of the proposed method, a single enterprise included in the holding was analyzed. Two factors that determine the development of the enterprise were identified, their values were estimated for a number of years both before entering the holding company and after the entry, and trends in the change in their values were revealed.
