Public environmental organizations in samara (Kuibyshev) from the 1920's to the first half of the 1980's

The article is devoted to the history of formation and development of the Samara public organizations, whose activity was related to the local history, nature conservation and protection of the natural wealth. The article highlights the important events in the history of environmental activities in Samara: the opening of the Botanical garden, the foundation of the Zhigulevsky reserve, the establishment of the regional branch of the all-Russia society of nature protection, and other.
