On some problematic issues of protecting the rights of the victim in criminal proceedings

The article deals with the problems of observing the rights of victims in criminal proceedings, analyzes the current legislation and statistical data. As a result of the analysis the author proposes a new approach to existing problems, formulates suggestions for improving the current legislation, aimed at protecting the interests of persons who have suffered from criminal acts.
