About some problems of describing objects of forensic research

The article discusses the problem of using reference books of objects of forensic research for the implementation of fixation, by the method of verbal description, in various branches of law enforcement. The author considers the reasons for the loss of relevance of reference books published more than 20 - 30 years ago. The author concludes that it is necessary to qualitatively rework the existing reference books, in terms of adding modern elements of clothing and accessories, solving terminological compliance with current interstate and industry standards, as well as improving the image quality of natural objects.
