In the modern conflict world the study of tolerance culture is extremely popular and relevant. The Russian scientific community is becoming aware of the studies published in Western Europe and the United States. At the same time, quite powerful research laboratories and schools exist in other regions. In this article, we turn to the analysis of the research experience of the Canadian religion scholar Lori G. Beaman school. Since 2008, her group has been conducting active field research and has developed its own methodology for the analysis of religious and socio-religious conflicts. The complex of studies carried out with the support of the Canadian government received the final expression in the articles and books of recent years, which present a new idea of deep equality unknown for the Russian epistemological community. According to the authors, it can combine with religious diversity, different views on family organization, gender roles, sexual orientation and other social innovations, actively developed in modern Canadian society.
