The most widespread disinfection of hatching eggs with the use of chemicals. At the same time, it should be noted that any chemical agents are toxic or aggressive substances, they are not harmless to service personnel, developing embryos, bred young animals and the environment. Repeated use of them leads to the development of resistance in the microflora. The purpose of this study was to develop a new effective method for processing hatching eggs of chickens using a natural preparation - propolis tincture. For its implementation, the bactericidal activity of propolis tincture on the microflora of incubators was studied in in vitro experiments. In experimental and production studies, various schemes for processing hatching eggs using propolis tincture in comparison with formaldehyde disinfection have been tested. Based on the conducted experiments, an eco-friendly method of processing incubation eggs has been developed, which allows reducing the microbial background during incubation, increasing the hatchability of eggs by 3.8-4.8 %, hatching of chickens - by 4.2 %, and the safety of the resulting young in the first 10 days of cultivation-by 2-3 %.
