A new approach to organizing monitoring patients with atrial fibrillation taking an indirect anticaagulents

Currently, routine laboratory monitoring in patients taking new oral anticoagulants (PLA) is not accepted due to the proven effectiveness of fixed doses. PLA was developed as an alternative to vitamin K antagonists (AVK), convenient for the doctor and patient, without requiring regular visits to laboratories. But in clinical practice, the frequency of complications, both thrombotic and hemorrhagic, was higher than in studies. There are reports of the possible use for laboratory monitoring of PLA routine and integrated tests to evaluate the hemostasis system.
