Plot of the short novel in the prose and drama of golden age (Lope de Rueda, Jorge de Montemayor, Miguel de Cervantes)

This article is based on the analysis of three works belonging to the Spanish Golden Age literature. This investigation tries to reveal and show how the plot which has almost the same starting point can be transformed and manifested in a different way according to the genre, be it comedy or an inserted short story as a part of pastoral novel or short novel.
