Essential new wisdom for modern mankind

Бесплатный доступ

The progress of mankind contributed to overcoming negative influences of both natural and social environments, and contributed to its transformation into a high-developed organism on the scale of the whole Earth. This community could be called as «we-mankind». In spite of emphatic success, this united community confronted with a series of acute problems that appeared to be deadlocks for further development. For example, demographical deadlock reminds us the ideas of Thomas Robert Malthus. However, he only outlined the problem in general but the reasonable solution of this problem has not been found yet. The history of modern China itself gives us original food for thought. The policy of «one family - one child» was very useful for reforms in the period of 1980s-1990s but now it affects the social development very much and needs to be changed. This necessity is quite obvious. However, nobody knows direction and measure of changes. Economic and domestic activity of mankind is permanently growing in quantity and leads us to deadlocks in supplying with energy resources and fresh water. Initiated by the same reasons, ecological problems grow from regional into global very quickly (for instance, dust storms from Mongolia can reach the western coast of America, etc.). To these natural factors we have now some new deadlocks added, such as international terrorism, hyper-urbanization and «overdose» in using of high-tech. These latter were formed not according a line of «Man-Nature» interaction but within the boundaries of human proper activity. In order to overcome all system difficulties listed above we found out that particular instrumental methods we had been using before are not sufficient now. This kind of appropriateness in three fields (Man’s relations with material world, with other people and with his own internal life) was formulated in the works of well-known Chinese philosopher of modern epoch Liang Shuming (1893-1988). Instead of using of ordinary recipes, we need to seek for new wisdom that will come from the realm of philosophy and will become the common property of «we-mankind».
