The article provides the analysis of certain aspects of advocacy activities in the USSR while preparing for the Moscow Olympic Games in 1980. The article shows the role of Telegraph Agency of the Soviet Union and various means of mass media in completing the instructions given by the Central Committee of the Communist Party and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Soviet Union.
