Prevention of crime by law enforcement agencies of Primorsky krai in 1941-1945

The article is devoted to crime prevention activities of law enforcement agencies in Primorsky krai under wartime conditions. The author notes that despite such factors as difficult criminogenic situation, expansion of the range of tasks, turnover of personnel, lack of skilled staff, the work of all departments developed at a good pace. Basing on analysis of previously unpublished archival material, the author concludes that by 1944-45 a wide intelligence network was created that allowed the agencies to be proactive and to achieve significant progress in prevention of crime.
