Non-profit organizations in Russia: representation in the political process

Recently, the problem of the importance and role of non-governmental associations in social and political processes has been widely discussed. Thus, V. Putin, during his tenure as president of Russia in his Address to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on April 26, 2007, stressed that it was impossible to imagine political processes without the participation of non-governmental associations, without taking into account their opinions and positions. There is an increase in the number of public associations and organizations, a noticeable increase in the number of their volunteer members.
