Oil and gas industry in the context of current economic crisis

The article addresses to the effect of the global economic crisis on the development of certain segments of oil and gas complex and entire industry at large. The lack of investment resources significantly hampers the renovation of infrastructure facilities in the oil and gas industry. Counteraction to Russia's policy in this sphere is very high, which also adversely affects the development of the industry. During the global economic crisis, despite some stability in the context of price volatility in the world oil and gas market, the Russian oil and gas industry faced the need to respond to ever-growing internal and external challenges that hamper the development of this most important branch of the economy.
