Nutritional status disorders in patients with chronic kidney disease

Resume: Nutritional disorders (protein-energy malnutrition) have traditionally been considered exclusively a problem in patients undergoing renal replacement therapy. Meanwhile, as a result of epidemiological studies, it was found that among patients with end-stage CKD (stage CKD), 5-15% of patients before starting treatment with programmed hemodialysis and continuous outpatient peritoneal dialysis already have nutritional status disorders.
