The article discussed the question about morality of parochial Orthodox priesthood of Orenburg eparchy in 1860-70s and is based on analysis of some definite cases. On the base of the studying the archival documents, the author scrutinizes the possible reasons of dissolute behavior of priests. The research represents a part of the study of everyday life and activities of provincial parochial Orthodox priest.
