MRT- and CT-visualization of the sequelae of rickets and vitamin D-resistant rickets

Seven patients with vitamin D-resistant rickets and rickets sequelae have been examined before treatment and in the long-term period after treatment by the techniques of computer tomography (CT) and magnetic-resonance tomography (MRT). The patients' age varied from 4 to 37 years. CT and MRT allowed to reveal more subtle and specific changes of cartilage, bone tissue structure, including the variability of the mineral composition of femoral and tibial metaphyses, to visualize the boundaries of pathological process as the zone of the cellular structure of the epiphyses and metaphyses of femur and tibia, to judge bone tissue microarchitectonics.
