Archaeological monitoring in Vengerovo district of Novosibirsk region (near the village Stary Tartas)

In recent years several archaeological sites have been discovered in Vengerovo district of Novosibirsk region by the West Siberian archaeological detachment: Galechnoe-1, -2, Gosudarevo ozero-1, Yulino-1. Most of the sites, newly or previously discovered, are in poor condition due to natural and anthropogenic impacts - caving of shores, ploughing of fields, appearance of country roads and silo pits, etc. And the result of it is the loss of the most interesting archaeological materials. During the field season employees of the Institute of archaeology and ethnography of SB RAS conduct monitoring of the archaeological sites located near the village of Stary Tartas. The material that deserves attention and expands the existent collections from Baraba forest-steppe was collected from the surface during 2014-2016. Found articles enlarge our understanding of the archeology of central Baraba.
