The article analyses the policy of the Great Britain in the question of the organization of Militia in the Highlands of Scotland in the first half of the XVIII century; the issue is traced in the context of the imperial practices realization in the region for its pacification and support of the loyalty towards the Hannover Dynasty on the British throne among the locals.
