The main purpose of the article is the search of the major projections of effective hotel management, which is caused by the objective necessity of hotel sector improvement in the period of the FIFA World Cup Russia-2018. The authors conducted a comparative analysis of the international hotel corporations’ management with management practices of Russian hotels in the context of quality management of hotel services, business administration and human resources management. The authors emphasize the importance of business administration focusing on the use of advanced methods, technologies and management tools in the hotel industry. It is analyzed the topical directions of normative legal base improvement in hospitality industry and trends of hotel management development.
