The article is devoted to development of research methodology of wear resistance of working footwear. It allows evaluating and predicting its operational properties. The proposed approach to assessing the performance properties of working footwear is based on the theory of reliability. The research involves defining the resource of its constituent parts as interrelated elements having a common hierarchical scheme.
