Measures of state support for volunteering in the field of preserving cultural heritage in Russia

Over the past decade, the Russian volunteer movement in the fi eld of preserving historical and cultural heritage has become a vibrant social phenomenon, having come a long way from scattered volunteer initiatives to large scale projects that have secured signifi cant support at the state level. In the article, the author gives a comprehensive analysis of the key support measures (infrastructural, legal, fi nancial, methodological), thanks to which favorable conditions have been created in a short period of time for the development and promotion of the core heritage volunteer movement.
