Marquise du Deffand and her salon

The article is devoted to the one of the famous women in the France of XVIII century, marquise du Deffand, who succeeded in creating a salon in Paris, which had became famous thanks to mixed intellectual community of philosophers, aristocracy, writers, and to actual themes which were discussed by the guests. For 30 years, the marquise du Deffand maintained the fame and popularity of her salon.
