This paper describes engineering method to calculate the values and distribution of effective strain inside dynamically deforming part depending on its shape. Relationship for calculation of energy consumption for magnetic-impulse stamping of parts with respect to energy loss during various stages of its transformation is presented. An analysis of means, which are developed to increase dimensional stability of parts produced for magnetic-impulse stamping, is also given.
