Personal factors for beating female soccer players’ burnout

Sports activity is characterized by great mental and physical loads and a high competition level today. Athletes’ burnout is a reaction to chronic stress. This phenomenon in sports activity is manifested in the reduction of the athletes’ achievement motivation, physical/emotional exhaustion, devaluation of achievements. The great attention of researchers to athletes’ mental burnout is associated with its negative impact on the training and competitive activities of athletes, as well as their health. The development of this syndrome can lead not only to sports injuries, but to the departure of the athlete from the sports. The important role in the beating burnout of athletes plays their personal characteristics. The optimal level of personal anxiety, realistic self-esteem, constructive motivation, self-control and self-regulation skills, preference to constructive coping strategies by athletes contribute to the beating of psychological burnout.
