The article contains the results of the study of policewomen’s peculiar traits related to service efficiency. The author defines personal peculiarities of female police officers hindering adaptation to service and decreasing service efficiency. It is stated that female police officers possess the phenomenon of social desirability veiling the whole assortment of underlying personal peculiarities.
