Criminological and psychological characteristics of criminal's personality: from theory to practice

Introduction: the authors discuss criminological and psychological features of personality of criminals. Special attention is on the formation of the personality, its structure, typology and classifications; analyse criminal behavior determiners. Materials and Methods: current works on criminology, psychology, deviance, addictology, sociology, criminal law that study criminal personality and its features. The authors also used classic Russian literature. General and special methods of research were used in the study: literature analysis, classification, theoretical generalization and teachers' experience. Results: various approaches of modern academicians to typology and classification of criminal personality in jurisprudence (criminology, criminalistics etc.), various models of the personality that exist in interdisciplinary sciences (psychology, sociology, culturology etc.). Discussion and Conclusions: the authors suggest study the given approaches to the typology and classification of the personality not only as theory from victimological point of view, predicting in criminology and crime prevention but in didactive usage of the theories in practice-oriented training of educational establishments of MIA of Russia cadets and students.
