Peasant problem in Russia in the nobility projects (the end of the XVIII - first quarter of the XIX century)

The article, based on various sources including archival ones, covers the problem which was not researched so far: social background of authors and contents of numerous (506) projects dedicated to the solution of the peasant problem and drawn up by representatives of Russian nobility during the rule of Paul I and Alexander I.
