Effect of seat unit part geometrics on ball valve tightness

Based on a ball valve design, there have been analyzed dimension chains to determine tension of the Belleville springs used to provide seat tightness. In calculation, there has been considered shrinkage of seat unit elements occurring in end connection welding.
