Constitutional and legal regulation of the right to personal data protection in the Russian Federation and Eastern European countries

In this article, the author raises the question of the place of the right to personal data protection in the system of constitutional rights of a citizen of a particular state. The author analyzes the Constitution of the Russian Federation from the point of view of reflecting the right to personal data protection in the current norms. In order to achieve a productive comparison, the author refers to the constitutional experience of Eastern European countries. In conclusion, the author comes to the conclusion that it is necessary to amend the Constitution of the Russian Federation on the issue of personal data protection.
