The author proposes the approach to teaching the discipline «Computer technologies in Physics” in a pedagogical university. The author discusses the educational program of the course, which the author has been teaching since 2001. The course combines various possibilities for programming and modeling physical phenomena. The article provides the results of the pedagogical experiment. It justifies the importance and summarizes the positive effects of introducing the discipline «Computer technologies in Physics» into the curriculum of future teachers.
