The results of a long-term study of the flowering of decorative woody introduced plants in the Dendrological Garden named after V.N. Nilov "SevNIIILH”. It is noted that 51.3% of the total number of species of the collection are shrubs, most of which are distinguished by their decorativeness in the spring-summer-autumn period. Provide data on the flowering shrubs of the collection, which is represented by woody plants of 33 genera of 12 families. The most richly represented: honeysuckle (55 species), rose (51 species), hawthorn (34 species), spirea (30 species), barberry (25 species), mountain ash (30 species), apple tree (20 species). Most of the woody species listed in the article are distinguished by relatively high winter hardiness and retain a life form inherent for them under natural growing conditions, bloom and bear fruits. Our results are consistent with studies conducted in the botanical gardens of the Murmansk region and the Komi Republic. Many of the species, varieties and forms of decorative woody plants are promising for widespread landscaping use in the European North of Russia. The attraction of new species and varieties of woody flowering plants of foreign origin occurs on the principles of an ecological and geographical approach.
