The third group of Eneolithic ceramics of Chekalino IV site is examined in this article. Identical dishes were found in the sites of the river Sok basin. This type shares some common features with the ceramics of the Volosovo, Garinskaya and Tokskaya cultures. The origins of "forest" signs of Chekalino ceramics are related to the steppe and forest-steppe districts of the Volga-Don and Volga-Ural regions and dated to the second half of the 4000 B.C. Materials of Tokskaya and Chekalino sites took part in the process of forming of the Volosovo and Garinskaya cultures. The article is prepared with the support of the Russian Humanities Fund, Project №07-01-26105 a/B.
