The article is devoted to the problem of the impact stress has on the first-year cadets’ learning. Peculiarities of studying at a ministerial higher educational institution require great self-control and mental steadiness. The authors underline that it is important to prevent cadets’ negative emotions resulting from stress, teach them methods and skills of regulating their own mental states.
